Haiti

TD Orchestra has established a music program in collaboration with the Haendel School of Music. The Haendel School of Music is a music school for primary and secondary students in Port-au-Prince. Currently, the school performs in community events, but it lacks new repertoire to teach the students as well as music opportunities for them once they graduate from high school. 

 

With the TD Orchestra music school, the Haendel students are working towards being able to play the music performed by TD Orchestra with the goal of future joint performances between TD Orchestra and Haendel. Moreover, the initiative will support students who wish to pursue music opportunities either in Haiti or abroad, via scholarships and other support networks.
